A Scottish wedding is a traditional wedding by the people of the Scottish Highlands. Although it has been practiced for several centuries already, there are still a lot of Scots who choose to celebrate their weddings the traditional way.


How Scottish Wedding Dresses Look Like

But what makes the wedding gown a truly Scottish wedding dress is the presence of a tartan (plaid) shawl around her shoulders or waist. The tartan’s design should be that of the groom’s clan. Wearing one symbolizes that the bride is already a part of the groom’s clan.
